Main Forum Rules
Threads (aka Topics)
- Threads should have a clear and concise title.
- Threads should be directly related to the forum they're in.
- Off-topic threads will be locked or deleted.
- Please do a search or take a look for duplicate topics. Duplicate threads will be locked or deleted.
Avatars and Signatures
- Please keep avatars to 200 by 200 pixels.
- Signature images only have the limit of not filling a 1024 by 768 pixel screen.
Vulgarity is NOT allowed in any way
- Pornographic material: Self-explanatory.
- Please do not swear AT ALL around the forum.
Personal Settings/User Information
- Moderators and Administrators have the right to edit/delete personal information at any time, including your profile, posts, and other things.
- Moderators and Administrators do NOT have the right to reveal personal information, such as IP addresses, among other things.
Users
- One person to an account, and one person only.
- No duplicate accounts are accepted at any time! The only exceptions are tests from the admins.
Threats and Conflicts Between Users
- Threats and harassment are forbidden in any way. If someone is harassing you via private messages, please let us know.
- If a staff member has to step in, consequences will be dealt for both sides, depending on the positions of both sides.
Posting
- Posts should be contributing to the thread/discussion.
- Spelling and Grammar mistakes are not always tolerated. Occasional typos are fine, but Internet shorthand, i.e. "idk", "idc", "np" and other things will not be tolerated in excessive amounts.
- Double posting: Double posting is allowed in some cases. Otherwise, please use the "edit" button to correct your mistakes. Please do not double post to raise your post count. Double posting will be allowed if:
- There is need to bump a thread.
- The last post was more than a week ago.
Spamming
- Spamming will NOT be tolerated in any way.
- Spamming includes:
- Off-topic posts
- One-word posts. (If you want to portray agreement or disagreement, please explain what/why/whatever)
- Posts containing unnecessarily high amounts of bold, italicized and underlined text.
- Making new threads with unclarified points/purposes.
Necroposting
Necroposting is posting in a thread where the last post was over a week ago. This is NOT ALLOWED. Bumping threads IS allowed, but please get permission from a staff member before doing so, if you want to bump a thread a few weeks or more old.
Staff Members
- Please be appreciative of the staff. They spend a lot of time maintaining the forum board and doing other things.
- Staff members are NOT to take advantage of their position.
- If a staff member locks your thread, please don't get mad about it. There's always a reason behind it. In most cases, you can ask the staff member that locked it to unlock it. This doesn't mean that they will, unless you have a very good reason.
Backseat Moderating
Backseat Moderating is acting like a forum administrator/moderator when you're not. As of now, this is not allowed. While it is helpful at some points, it's not always appreciated. Please just don't do it.
Property Theft
- Property theft of art, fan videos and fanfics (i.e. claiming you made something that someone else made) will NOT be tolerated. Please respect the original owner(s)' time and effort put into something, even if it was only five minutes. Users infringing this rule will be banned IMMEDIATELY.
- "Unintentional" thefts are not allowed. It is normally quite clear whether you are stealing someone else's creation.
Images
- Please post the LINK for images bigger than 600 by 600 pixels. This is to avoid images from taking up the width (or height) of a screen.
Site Advertisements
- Site advertisements belong SPECIFICALLY in the "Site Advertisements" forum, or as links in your signatures.
- Site ads found anywhere else will be deleted, and the user will be warned. (Applies to the "three strikes" rule.)
- Sites are NOT TO BE ADVERTISED VIA THE PRIVATE MESSAGING SYSTEM. The admins do not have the ability to read all PMs throughout the forum, but they do have trust in (most of) our members. If someone advertises a site to you via PMs, please ignore it. Please also contact an administrator with the situation...and proof, if there is any. (A screenshot, not a quote, of the message will help.)
Information
Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning, a temporary ban, a ban, or worse, depending on the incident. Three strikes will be given in most cases unless stated otherwise, and then after the third warning, you will be banned.
